R2 - Rigging Intermediate Course

Participants will gain a sound understanding of the following topics:

  • Correct use of equalizing gear
  • Rotation of Precast Panels
  • Face Lifting Panels
  • Duel lifting
  • Erection and dismantling of lattice boom sections
  • Climbing sequences
  • Safe procedures and practices
Content:

Assessment is based on competency – the ability to perform tasks to the National Occupational Health & Safety Standard and Worksafe Victoria Standards.

 

Assessment is conducted through a combination of practical demonstration, verbal questioning and written testing and calculations.

Pre-requisites:

To be eligible for a WorkSafe Victoria Certificate of Competency, the WorkSafe Victoria practical and written test must be successfully completed. This applicant must be a minimum age of 18 years with the ability to speak and write English to a basic level and have the necessary levels of health and fitness to safely carry out work as a Dogman/Rigger. You must have obtained a Dogmans and Rigger Basic Certificates as a pre-requisite.
